HEREFORDSHIRE will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Oxfordshire when they travel to Bournemouth to take on Dorset in their second Minor Counties Championship fixture on Sunday.

And the county side will be boosted for the three-day clash by the return of a top batsman and a leading bowler.

Richard Hall will open the batting alongside Harshad Patel while Tom Glover is back to bolster the pace attack.

Work commitments continue to rule out former Glamorgan opener Ian Thomas while young all-rounder Morgan Rushbrooke is unavailable as he is taking his final university exam.

The last two matches between the clubs have been heavily affected by the weather.

In 2005 at Colwall, superb first-day conditions allowed Dorset to pile up 422. Herefordshire had replied with 85-1 by the close but rain washed out the second and third days.

On Herefordshire's last visit to Bournemouth's Dean Park ground in 2004, skipper Chris Boroughs made 137 but the home side won by two wickets.

Herefordshire: Harshad Patel, Richard Hall, Henry Langford, Chris Boroughs (capt), Dave Exall, Kez Ahmed, Ian Stevenson, Owen Price, Tom Glover, Josh Tingle, Gulsheraz Ahmed. 12th man, Geraint Leech.
