SOUTH Wye Police Boxing Academy are continuing to impress with three good wins from their senior squad members.
Vinnie Mills defeated James Hugdes from Stoke Staffordshire Boxing Club by majority decision after hurting his opponent with some well timed body shots.
Sam Lambert, from Bartestree, also beat Alex Colwall from Kings ABC.
Lambert produced a very seasoned and mature fight, with his relaxed style and accurate punches being rewarded in Cheltenham.
And Danny Williams, from Lower Bullingham, Hereford beat Starbox ABC's Paul Shepherd in Nuneaton after putting him down in the first round and giving him a standing count in the third.
"Preparation for this fight went well," said Williams.
"The club is like a great big family, with everyone supporting each other, it really is a life changing place.
"I first came down weighing 78kg and I now fight at 64kg."
South Wye Police Boxing Academy secretary Vince McNally said: "We're very proud of our boxing squad, they have done some fantastic work over the closed season with ex-World Super Middleweight champion Richie Woodhall and our coaching team,.
"We know we will be up against it on the televised show at Hereford in December.
"Our lads are taking on an elite select squad from England that train like professionals, but they will be giving it their."
