WHAT started off as a fun exercise session between friends has grown into a brand new boxing club.
Bromyard Amateur Boxing Club held its official opening last weekend at its facility in the Linton Industrial Estate, just outside the town.
The club is being ran by husband and wife duo Stacey and Neil Haycock.
"It started off with a bit of fun training with family and friends," said Stacey.
"Word spread about the group and everybody wanted to know about it.
"Neil found a unit we could convert into a gym and people just keep coming in now.
"It's also somewhere where children can come and make new friends while learning the sport instead of hanging around.
"We are also offering the opportunity to compete, sparring and bouts.
"Other people can also get involved in coaching so we have a lot to offer.
"The gym is definitely being hugely used by people in the local area."
The official opening day of the gym was well attended with former professional Frankie Gavin and town mayor Roger Page cutting the ribbon.
