WESTFIELDS fans were treated to a second home win inside a week as their side came back from an early goal to beat Long Eaton United 3-1.
Following their midweek victory over Kingstone Rovers, Andy Bevan's side then fought to their first home league win of 2019.
Fields' poor league home form looked like continuing when an eighth minute Cameron Campbell goal put the visitors 1-0 ahead.
After the break Andy Bevan's side clicked into gear and pulled level when John Mills got free down the left hand side and cut the ball back into the path of Ollie Butler.
This signalled Westfields to produce a more workmanlike performance and Aidan Thomas then had a shot parried by the visitors’ keeper.
However, the ball ran nicely into the path of Craig Jones who made no mistake to put his side ahead.
Westfields were now beginning to cut open the Long Eaton defence with Carlos Moreira and Aidan Thomas both causing problems down the flanks.
It came as no surprise when late in the game Mills slotted home following a goalmouth scramble to secure Westfields’ 3-1 win.
This result keeps Westfields up in fourth spot in the Midlands Premier, but they are now without a game for several weeks and their next home fixture will be on April 22 (Easter Monday), against local rivals Worcester City.
Westfields then travel to Coventry Sphinx on April 27 before finishing the season at Edgar Street on April 30 with an HFA County Senior Challenge Cup Final against Pegasus Juniors.
