MEMBERS of Hereford's Combat Academy were amongst over 1,000 competitors at the 2019 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu British Open held at the NEC Birmingham.
The event was held over three days and is one of the largest in Europe. The Hereford team, consisting of 21 students, returned with a total of six British Champions, eight silver medals and three bronze medals.
British Open Champions were: Baz Hopkins, Callum Skelly, Chris Konieczny, Fraser Hackley, Liberty Miles and Millie Johns.
Silver medal winners were: Baz Hopkins, Henrijs Burka, Rufus Spiller, Megan Edwards, Merv Harries, Reuben Brown, Rob Styles and Harry Chapman.
Bronze medals were won by: Chris Konieczny, Dean Bradbury and Kelly Hopkins.
