BULLS marksman Reece Styche has sent a warning to any opposing defenders he comes across this season.
The 30-year-old striker scored scored 26 league goals last season before arriving at Hereford in the summer.
Despite only being pre-season the striker has already shown aggression, which he says is part of his game.
"I would never change as that's made me the player I am today," said Styche.
"I like to play on the edge and some people won't like it, I am a bit of a whinger on the pitch.
"It's because I want to win and if that's the way it gets me up then that's what I do.
"I just like to put myself around, if we're not playing well or winning games obviously I'm not going to be happy.
"From a personality point of view on the pitch I try to be nasty as much as I possibly can.
"You need that edge over any opponent that you come up against.
"You don't want to be a soft touch especially in this league as well.
"I like to put myself about and put my foot in where it hurts and stuff.
"I like to battle on the pitch and there won't be any defender coming off having an easy game against me that's for sure."
Styche is set to be joined up front this season by fellow contracted marksman Rowan Liburd.
The pairing have shown glimpses of what they can do so far in pre-season and Styche says there is more to come.
He added: "Me and Rowan (Liburd) have only played three or four games together and I'm new to the team especially.
"It is going to take time for us to gel as a partnership.
"There might be times when he plays on his own or I play on my own but when we have played together there has been some decent play between us.
"It helps that both of us are unselfish, when we are on the ball we will look to play each other in and off each other.
"It could be a real good partnership as we are both goal scorers and I would like to think we will give defenders in this league a real tough time this year.
"Rowan is really good in the air with his size and everything, he runs channels well and I like to run channels.
"It's a partnership so you've just got to do the opposite of the other one with your movement.
"When you've got the ball to feet if he's gone short then I've got to go long.
"It's just a case of talking constantly, the more we play together and are that training pitch together we will become a really good force."
Styche is one of several Bulls players who have picked up slight knocks in the pre-season campaign so far.
"Pre-season is never nice picking up little injuries here and there but on a whole I'm in a good place mentally and physically so I'm really enjoying my time here so far," Styche added.
"That is part and parcel of pre-season and that's why you pick up these knocks with the hard surfaces in my case on my shins and calf, it's not nice.
"I think you could tell on Wednesday (against Cheltenham) on a better pitch we showed how well we can actually play.
