WITH just weeks left until it is due to be completed the 3G pitch at Hereford Pegasus is taking shape.
The pitch has now been laid and the rubber crumb added to the surface.
The completion date is September 2, but the club state that they are ahead of schedule, weather dependant.
"It has got to be tested to make sure it's of Fifa standard and the floodlights are also due for completion soon," said Pegasus chief executive Kevin Bishop.
"We will be re-instating the banking and fencing, it seems very close to completion but there are still various bits of work.
"The pitch is absolutely awesome and people come past to see it every day.
"We have had some very comments from people in football with the same pitch as us and they consider it the best thing going.
"They think it's absolutely fantastic to play and officiate on and think that the club will go from strength to strength with it."
