SOUTH Wye Police Boxing Academy are preparing to have four fighters in this weekend's Midlands Championships semi-finals.
The club entered five fighters in the competition with four qualifying for the latter stages.
Club Secretary Vince McNally said: "This is a title that means something, as our boxers are prepared to meet anyone in the Midlands at their weight and battle for the right to be called Midland Champion. "There are many talented boxers out there, and our boxers are going to give there all!"
McNally says that the club will have one of the biggest squads in the area in the latter stages.
"Everyone performed well," McNally added.
"Aram Osman, fighting at 60kg, didn’t get the decision but he was up against the boxer tipped for the title from the JQ Club in Birmingham. All other Hinton boxers got through to the final stages of the competition. It’s amazing for the club."
