A HEREFORDSHIRE boxer has fought his way into the last four in the country.
South Wye Police boxer, Othman “Habibi”Said smashed his way into a medal position last weekend when he travelled to Bridlington in Yorkshire with his coaching team.
The quarter-final match in the national tournament saw him come up against the Yorkshire champion Connor Daubney.
Both 69 kilogramme boxers started well but it soon became apparent that Said had the better ability and ring-craft.
Daubney pressed well, but couldn’t put serious pressure on the Hereford boxer on his way to victory.
Dave Beaumont and Paul Catten coached the Hereford star during the quarter-final bout.
Catten said: “Habibi is a puzzle in the ring that very few opponents can work out.
"It’s a pleasure for us to work with him.”
