HEREFORD Couriers have opened entries for this year's Christmas 10-kilometre race on Sunday, December 29.
The Couriers have taken the race on from their friends at Wye Valley Runners, but the race will follow the traditional route around the country lanes of Brienton, Herefordshire.
The route will use exactly the same course as the previous New Years Day 10k, a mildly undulating route and the race will start at 11am on Great Weston Way with the headquarters at Hereford Rugby Club.
The course is suitable for runners of all abilities and the route will be fully marked out and marshalled with a water station at the midway point.
There will be a festive medal for every finisher.
Organisers of the event said: "When you’ve eaten far too much turkey, bored of the same old Christmas TV and you’ve already planned your new year’s festivities, there can only be one thing left to do…… take part in a good old fashioned Christmas road race around the country lanes of Brienton, Herefordshire."
The entry fee is £11 for affiliated runners or £13 for non-affiliated.
