HEREFORD Taekwondo students proved their skills against international opposition in their last event of 2019.
Some 1,300 fighters took part in the meet at Worcester University recently with some travelling from Holland and America to compete.
It has been a long tough year with numerous competitions being entered and the students didn't disappoint at this one, coming away with seven national titles and 22 medals overall.
Club instructor Dave Sheppard said: "Everyone in martial arts knows that to come away from a TAGB competition with a medal, you have earned it.
"Myself and the instructing team are so proud of the effort and determination, that they all put in."
Medallists were: Kelly Marshall (gold patterns and team patterns); Julie Hadley (silver sparring); Nikola Janczewska (bronze leg power); Daniel Janczewski (gold hand power and silver leg power); Patryk Janczewski (gold leg power and bronze hand power); Adam Janczewski (bronze pattern, bronze sparring, gold leg power, silver hand power and silver grand champ); Stefan Dragomir (gold leg power); Laura Rackauske (bronze sparring); Oskaras Rackauskas (bronze leg power); Maria Poranski (gold sparring and silver in tag teams); Ed Mocanu (bronze sparring) and Ben Hargreaves (silver patterns, silver sparring, bronze team patterns).
If you are interested in taking up Taekwondo the club has beginner classes for all ages starting in January.
