HEREFORD Racecourse have abandoned tomorrow's meeting due to poor track conditions.

This morning the racecourse said there would be an inspection at 4pm today (Tuesday) for their Afternoon Winter Racing on Wednesday, but it has since been abandoned.

"The going is heavy with standing water in places and is currently not raceable following 16 millimetres of rain in the past 24 hours," they said.

But at midday the racecourse confirmed that conditions had worsened and the races could not go ahead.

"Racing tomorrow has been abandoned as track conditions have deteriorated with areas of false ground which are not passable."
