A TEAM of karting enthusiasts were celebrating after clinching overall honours at the final round of the Llandow Winter Series.
Another testing day in the four-hour endurance series saw the trio of Mark Beven, Stu Smith and Cam Wheatley take second in category and overall honours for their MSC Racing team.
A sunny day and a dry track saw Smith put the team's kart into second place on the grid in qualifying.
Beven took the first stint in the race and a third corner coming together left him back down in seventh place.
The battle to claw back up the field was now on and at the end of his time he had pulled two places back.
Wheatley went out and had a sterling drive after the pit stop, making up another three places leaving Smith to make the last two places.
Lap after lap Smith hunted down the last target of the chase and both karts had one more pit stop.
The MSC pit crew of James Lucas and Brian Payne worked their magic and got MSC out and a lap in front.
The team held to the end second in class on the day and overall champions.
They would like to thank sponsors Luck Trading Ltd, CMW Electrical, S&B Plastering and Lucas Motorcycles.
