OVER 330 runners are taking to the streets this week competing in the first round of the Hereford Couriers Virtual five-kilometre series.
Each runner has a week to record their socially distanced five-kilometre effort individually, on their chose of route, while recording their run and finishing time through a suitable mobile application.
The three-race series will be held virtually with medals for all finishers, with category prizes and overall winners prizes up for grabs.
The second round will be on the week commencing August 3 and third round starts on September 7.
Hereford Couriers have returned to club training following guidance from England Athletics ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all runners, coaches and the wider community.
The Couriers have been busy creating the all new ‘socially distanced training’ that will allow all runners to train with team-mates in smaller groups in a new approach to club training on Tuesday and Thursday sessions.
The Couriers will be offering a variety of training options from group runs to shorter speed training.
The club are welcoming new runners to join them for taster sessions at Hereford Leisure Centre at 6.30pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
