WYE Valley Runners have launched their autumn and winter training programme designed for anyone wanting to prepare for racing next season.
As the nights begin to draw in runners thoughts begin to turn to their winter training programme - maybe with plans for a spring marathon or even a first five-kilometre race. "Autumn and winter training is the ideal time for runners of all abilities to get into shape," said club chair Martin Flowers.
"Our new programme of mixed training gives athletes a chance to work through the season ready to take on some competitive running in the spring. The program is designed for everyone so please get in touch." Sessions begin from Wednesday, September 9, at Halo Leisure Centre, Grandstand Road in Hereford.
The club begins a weekly session every Wednesday at 6.15pm for 6.30pm involving speed work, hill work, and road running.
The six-month programme ends in April next year at which point a new summer programme begins The club will ensure the sessions are completely Covid-19 secure and comply with all social distancing and track and trace requirements.
