- Tom Marshall had the game’s opening effort inside the opening eight minutes but saw his floated effort sail just over with the Fields' goalkeeper stretching.
- Cameron Campbell was next to go close for the hosts but with the goalkeeper beaten his effort hit the top of the netting.
- After the opening 15 minutes Fields responded and Billy Murphy saw his low effort saved by Jake Askew.
- Westfields took a 30th minute lead when Dan Stoneman beat two men cutting inside the box before firing across the goalkeeper.
- After the break Campbell had the chance to level the tie connecting with a Jordan Wheatley cross but steered his effort wide.
- The second half was an attritional affair of few chances as the Derbyshire hosts threw everything at their opposition looking for a way back into the tie.
- That was until the 92nd minute when Campbell raced onto a through ball before tucking it under the racing goalkeeper and into the net.
