LUKE Hedger stormed to the top of the leaderboard in the most recent British Superbike official test.
Another test day for the Jones Dorling Racing team saw them back at Oulton Park circuit since September 2020 for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
All the teams descended on the picturesque circuit in the heart of Cheshire where the banks were lined with budding fans once again and enthusiastic spectators and Hedger projecting himself into the number one spot for the JDR team.
Hedger quickly settled into fourth in the first session before storming into the top spot during the second session.
Hedger went out in the third session for a total of 10 laps. Despite a plague of red flags the 25-year-old recorded the fastest lap of the day again snatching the top spot from Fraser Rogers.
“It was a really good test for me and the JDR team topping the time sheets and being fastest overall is a great feeling but it’s only testing and I still need to focus on the next test and then the first round," said Hedger.
"But I am mega happy with how everything is going at the moment so I will carry this confidence on to the next one.”
Tom Jones, JDR team manager added: “We were lucky with the weather at Oulton, and it gave us all day to try what we had planned at Snetterton after it was rained off. "Luke was flying at Oulton and he definitely surprised myself and Chris and also raising a few eyebrows in the paddock, a very good test for him.
"The team is working very well together and we are pleased with the commitment from them and our sponsors.”
