JUNIORS at Burghill Tillington and Weobley Cricket Club finished their season on a high.
The club’s under-11 and under-13 teams won their respective HCB cup competitions.
Meanwhile, their under-15 side narrowly missed out after reaching the finals.
The under-11s beat Brockhampton by 39 runs after a good team performance saw them win comfortably.
Having won their semi-final against Kington in the morning, the under-13s beat Colwall by seven wickets in the afternoon.
Man of the Match Archie Stevenson bagged 5-6 off 3.5 overs.
The Colwall batsmen had no answer to his pace and accuracy. His five wickets were all clean bowled.
Against a very strong Wormelow team, the under-15s fell short by 17 runs.
Wormelow batted first and scored 142-8 off their 20 overs.
Archie and Ollie Langford scored 45 and 30 respectively.
Ed Davenport with 4-25 and Theo Darke 2-25 were the pick of the Burghill bowlers.
It was a formidable total to chase and after losing early wickets BTWCC finished on 125 for 7.
There were starts but none of the batsmen kicked on. Head Coach Phil Knight was proud of his team even though they fell short at the final hurdle.
