HEREFORD Sixth Form College Rugby Academy have made it through the England Colleges Cup final.
The Hereford pupils have beaten Shrewsbury College, SGS College, Hartpury College in the group stages and then had to make their way past Coventry College, Truro College and Exeter College in the knockout stages.
The students are having a great season and went unbeaten in their AOC League.
The college rugby 7’s team have made the AOC National Finials which will take place at the end of April at Nottingham University.
There are representatives from Ledbury, Luctonians, Hereford, Bromyard, Gwernyfed, Cymbran, Abergavenny and Croesy rugby clubs within the squad.
The students continue to grow and improve and the academy are working hard with local clubs and schools to strengthen links and help transition players from under-18’s into senior rugby.
Hereford Rugby Club have been drawn at home against Moseley Oak in the first round of the Papa John's Cup.
The game is scheduled to take place at Wyeside on Saturday, April 1 and kick-off is 3pm.
Moseley Oak play at the same level as Hereford and finished third in their league this season with a similar record to Hereford. Both sides had 13 wins.
Hereford and Moseley Oak have not played each other since the 2018/19 season. On that occasion Moseley Oak won a close game at Wyeside by 25-24, whilst the game at Moseley finished as a 19-19 draw.
