WESTFIELDS ended their Hellenic Premier league campaign with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Corsham Town.
Fields found themselves four goals down at the break as a ruthless Corsham side chased second placed Malvern to the wise.
The visitors took the lead within the opening two minutes as James Rusby let fly from outside the box and the ball flew into the top corner with the goalkeeper stationary.
Fields found themselves two goals down within 12 minutes after a free-kick right on the edge of the penalty box was curled into the net by Niekell Plummer.
Glover’s side looked for a way back into the match and Adam Wakeley had an effort through a crowd of players deflected and cleared.
Ian Havard was called into action on 24 minutes denying Kane Simpson effort on goal to keep Fields in the match.
However, Corsham found their third goal on 37 minutes after Simpson forced his way into the box before firing past Havard.
It was 4-0 three minutes before the break when Simpson capitalised on some miscommunication in the Fields defence before slotting home.
Fields looked for a response and Dan Stoneman beat his man before crossing for Kyle Cassell whose effort was saved.
Cheered on by a large crowd the hosts were in again on the 54th minute with a flick releasing Josh Hunt into the box who was denied by a close range save.
Glover’s side struck back on 66 minutes with Cassell crashing his effort home off the inside of the post leaving the goalkeeper no chance.
The hosts had the better of the second half chances and Stoneman’s free-kick into a mass of bodies was initially missed by the goalkeeper before being collected at the second attempt.
Fields were rewarded for their efforts with second consolation goal with Cassell netting moments before the full-time whistle to end the game 4-2.
Hereford Lads Club completed their league campaign with a 2-2 draw on the road at basement side Bradford Town.
The hosts struck first before Mason Godsall fired the visitors level on the 25th minute mark with a strike from just inside the box.
Godsall then turned provider finding the run of Rob Whitlock who gave Lads Club the lead on the 59th minute mark.
However, the hosts equalised 18 minutes from time to earn themselves a share of the spoils.
Hereford Pegasus also ended their league campaign after conceding a last goal resulting in a 2-2 draw at Chipping Sodbury Town.
Connor Davies-Austin turned the ball home to put Pegasus ahead on the 16 minutes mark, only for the hosts an equaliser on the half-hour mark.
Pegasus were back ahead on the 59th minute with Cawley Cox running onto a through ball before squaring for Saul Thomas to score.
However, deep into injury time Josh Pandolfino scored his second of the game to rescue Chipping Sodbury a point.
