WESTFIELDS have parted ways with manager Phil Glover by ‘mutual consent’ after their defeat to Pershore Town on Tuesday night.
The defeat followed a 3-1 loss against Hereford Pegasus on Saturday.
A statement on the club’s official website said: “Westfields FC and Phil Glover have today agreed to end his position as team manager by mutual consent.
“The decision was taken following a disappointing start to the new season in which Westfields have won only four of their opening nine Hellenic League matches, and lost their last four matches, three of which have been at home.
“It is a very difficult decision for the committee to make as Phil is a Westfields man through and through, and he has helped develop the club on and off the field.
“The committee have given him full support on and off the pitch, but sadly the results have been very disappointing. We thank him for his commitment at Westfields whilst he has been in charge and wish every success in the future, and we hope that he may possibly stay and work with the club in another capacity.”
