A HAT-TRICK for skipper Emily Morgan led Hereford Pegasus to a second half fightback as they defeated Sedgley and Gornal United 5-3 to move into fourth position in the West Midlands Regional Women's League First Division (South).
The hosts broke the deadlock in the eighth minute when recently signing Sam Baker curl a 25-yard effort into the top corner of the net.
Pegasus doubled their advantage 13 minutes later when Livvy Jenkins went on a surging run before finding Morgan and the home skipper finished from the edge of the penalty area.
Sedgley and Gornal United reduced the deficit within a minute of the restart through Kirsty Spencer before the visitors levelled the scores in the 36th minute.
Pegasus then lost the ball just outside their penalty area and Mehan Hawley latched on to a through ball to slide past the advancing Katie Wood to level.
The match was turned around in first-hand stoppage time when Sedgley and Gornal United broke down the right flank and a low cross was finished by Spencer from close-range.
Pegasus eventually levelled the scores in the 71st minute when the ball was laid back into the path of Morgan to drill home a 20-yard shot into the bottom corner of the net.
The match was turned around four minutes later when Kaye Haggett saw her first-time shot take a deflection off an opponent and arrow into the far corner of the net.
All three points were secured in the 89th minute when Morgan completed her treble from the penalty spot after Baker was brought down illegally when she surged into the penalty area.

Penybont United came out on top in a seven-goal thriller with Belmont Wanderers in their league clash at The Racecourse.
Hosts Penybont took the lead on 20 minutes with Cathy Harris scoring the first of a hat-trick.
The Polecats doubled the lead within a minute of the restart when Harris was played through on goal and netted again.
Belmont Wanderers halved the deficit in the 22nd minute when Holly Pearce was released on goal before beating the goalkeeper.
Penybont United regained their two-goal buffer on the half-hour mark when Nia Parker fired an effort from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner of the net.
The visitors from Hereford reduced the deficit eight minutes after the break when Wanderers captain Ellie Morris converted a penalty.
The Radnorshire outfit regained their two-goal advantage in the 64th minute when Harris was allowed to run towards the penalty area and completed her hat-trick.
Belmont Wanderers bounced back again nine minutes later when Morris netted her second of the afternoon but fell short of an equaliser.
