HEREFORD Lads Club celebrated a 3-0 victory over rivals Westfields with young midfielder Arwyn Walby netting a goal and scooping the man of the match award.
Fields won the reverse fixture in August and striker Oli Barnes saw his 16th minute effort force a fine saved from Ross Grimshaw.
However, it was the hosts who took a 22nd minute goal when Brandon Jennings headed home an important opener.
Scott Russell’s visitors probed for an equaliser before half-time with Harrison Summers seeing his cross collected before Archie Muirhead headed wide.
After the break Adam Wakley headed over before goalkeeper Grimshaw was forced back into action to deny a deflected Barnes effort.
However, it was Lads Club who doubled their lead when the referee awarded the hosts a 58th minute penalty for a handball offence which was dispatched by Jennings.
Westfields faced an uphill task to get back into the derby match and Will Merrett headed wide from a free-kick before Sam Griffiths fired over.
Lads Club looked equally as likely to increase their margin and James Hancocks saw his shot denied by the woodwork.
With eight minutes left on the clock Lads Club had their third with Walby finding the net to secure his side’s fifth league victory of the season.
Hereford Pegasus had an afternoon to forget as they fell to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of fellow plat-off hopefuls Pershore Town.
The hosts went ahead after just nine minutes when Sam Clarke controlled a Jake Donnelly ball before firing home.
Just three minutes later Pershore doubled their lead as Dylan Parker saw his initial shot saved by goalkeeper Aiden Bryant before scoring the rebound.
Joshua Willis then put the game out of reach for Pegasus with two further first half goals to go 4-0 ahead.
Connor Mort’s curled free-kick finished the scoring with a minute of the second half remaining.
