WESTFIELDS have announced a new first team management structure ahead of the new season.

Joining joint managers Scott Russell and Nicky Morgan is head coach Lee Kendall.

Former Barry Town treble winning manager Kendall was a former professional goalkeeper with Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, Shrewsbury Town. He also played over 300 games in the Welsh Premier with clubs who represented Wales in UEFA competitions.

Since finishing his playing career Kendall has become a UEFA pro license holder and currently holds a full-time position as Head of Football at Cardiff & Vale College.

On his appointment Russell and Morgan said: “We are delighted to have someone of Lee’s ability and experience in managing and coaching in both the professional and Semi-Pro football join the club despite interest from other clubs.”

On joining the club Kendall said that he was looking for a new challenge and Westfields were a ‘well-run club that remains ambitious to progress up the pyramid and the opportunity was too good to turn down’.

A club statement said: “On behalf of Westfields we are delighted with the new structure and look forward to getting the season started with preseason starting Saturday, June 15.”

The club also announced this week that joint manager Morgan has completed his UEFA A licence following 15 months of hard work.

Westfields have also announced their pre-season fixtures, they are: Ledbury Town (A) July 6; Newent Town (A) July 12; Malvern Town (A) July 16; England Deaf Team (A) July 20; Swansea under-21s (H) July 23 or 24; Boldmere (H) July 27; Merthyr Town (H) July 30.

Fields will start their competitive matches with an FA Cup match, to be confirmed, on August 3.

Westfields will again compete in the Hellenic Premier alongside city rivals Hereford Pegasus and Hereford Lads Club.
