HEREFORD and County Athletes came away with a haul of medals from the Hereford Couriers spring series of 5K road races.
The three-race series saw an evening race in April, May and June.
which took place on 10 April, 8 May and 5 June.
Hereford Couriers hosted the annual event and permitted 11-year-olds to enter for the first time.
Three 11-year-olds from Hereford and County Athletics took up the challenge and ran extremely well, namely Charlie Coleman, Milo Williams and Saffi Reid.
Isabel North (first under-17 girl), Saffi Reid (first under-13 girl), Henry Lewis (first under-15 boy) and Fred Tyler (second under-15 boy) all received UK rankings in their respective age categories based on results within the series.
Under-17 runner Henry White (Halo Sports Foundation) won the men’s race overall from the three races and Emma Powell (Western Tempo) the women’s.

CYCLING
Hereford Wheelers 10 Mile Time Trial
Fourteen competitors braved the cooler and windier weather on June 11. There were roadworks on the Allensmore course so this event was moved to the Lugg Bridge course so it could still take place. The Hereford Tri Club took top spot with Ben Probert and Conrad Lawson taking first and second and Hereford Wheeler Bryn North coming in third. The club’s next event will be on the Bodenham course again on Thursday, June 20, 6.30pm sign on with first rider off at 7pm.
