SOUGHT after striker Montel Gibson has signed for Hereford ahead of their pre-season preparations.

The 26-year-old, from Birmingham, started his career with Notts County and played Lague Two football with Grimsby Town.

Gibson has played for a host of non-league clubs and was alongside Jason Cowley at Stourbridge.

He was most recently at AFC Telford United and had a successful season in the league below the Bulls.

“I can’t wait to get going,” said Gibson to the club’s website. “A massive club with big ambitions and I’m excited to be a part of it.

“I always bring goals, but I play an unselfish role in trying to get the team up the pitch and getting other players involved.

“I bring passion, I play for the badge on my shirt, I’ll always work hard and bring that fight.”

Gibson will join Cowley in the Bulls attack along with Andy Williams as pre-season preparations begin in the forthcoming weeks.

Hereford boss Paul Caddis says that supporters will enjoy watching Gibson in a Bulls shirt.

He added: “Montel is a player that every non-league club is aware of and likely had on their list. He’s a really sought after striker and we are pleased he has decided to join us.

“A real nuisance in attack, but with a work ethic and quality to match, I know for a fact he’s a player this club will love and you supporters will enjoy watching.

“An all or nothing character but with the quality to go with it, I am very excited to work with Montel and he comes into a really strong, connected group of players.”
