BARTESTREE & Lugwardine youngsters showed their talent as the second team overcame Barnards Green thirds to win by four wickets.
Barnard opted to bat and started sprightly before youngster Dom Goodman bowled the opener. A 50 partnership followed before Ethan Bartlett uprooted his man and the visitors were 71-2.
Four different dropped catches gave the visitors a chance, but they were restricted to 230-6 thanks to bowling figures of 4-33 by Charles Chakkunny.
With the bat Chakkunny opened with 29 before a half-century for Dave Robinson put his side into a good position.
Robert Clement added a half-century of his own before Elliot Gale hit an unbeaten 46 and the winning runs with a stunning cut, with 54 balls to spare.
Barestree & Lugwardine first sit bottom of the Worcestershire County League Division One after suffering a four-wicket defeat at Bewdley.
After electing to bat the Herefordshire visitors lost two early wickets before half-centuries from Matt Tulacz (57) and Ed Milner (53) took them to 123-3.
A mini-collapse followed though, with Max Backhouse holding the remains of the innings together on 46 not out, and 191 was a lot less than had once looked possible.
An epic bowling spell from Tom Strangward, taking five wickets in short order put, the firsts back on the front foot.
However, from 41-5, the home team dug in, and only one more wicket fell as they eased past the visitor’s total.
