A HEREFORDSHIRE youngster was celebrating at the home of cricket and five wickets to her name.
Burghill’s Amy Maund bagged five wickets for 31 runs at Lords as her Loughborough University side beat University of Exeter in the British Universities and Colleges Sport 50 over competition.
In a revised 47 over match, Loughborough ran out easy winners by 247 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Loughborough pummelled the Exeter bowlers to all parts of the ground, to finish on 322-6. Lara Shaw finished unbeaten on 132 off 114 balls to give her.
In reply, Exeter were skittled out for 78 in 26.2 overs. Maund ripped through the top order in a nine-over spell of outstanding swing bowling.
She returned later to bowl her last over, claiming the wicket of Frankie Hughes, to finish with figures of 5-31 off 10 overs.
Maund has been in action this season for Burghill, Tillington and recently helped her side to overcome Herefordshire rivals Ledbury.
