HEREFORD Pegasus and Holme Lacy shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in their Herefordshire FA Veterans League clash at the SSAFA County Ground.
Pegasus broke the deadlock when a 20th minute free-kick out on the left touchline was converted at the far post.
The Reds thought they had doubled their lead seven minutes later from the penalty spot but the goal was ruled out due to a Pegasus player moving into the area before the kick was taken.
Holme Lacy took advantage of the missed opportunity and levelled the scores 12 minutes after the interval when a swift counter-attack concluded with Tommy Phillips' lobbing over the Pegasus goalkeeper.
Neither team were able to find the decisive goal to claim victory and had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Elsewhere, Ewyas Harold and Wellington maintained their positions at the summit of the table by securing their third successive victories.
Ewyas Harold recorded a slender 1-0 win over Belmont Wanderers and Wellington enjoyed an emphatic 11-2 verdict over Hay St Mary's.
In senior football Radnor Valley commenced their pre-season preparations for the upcoming Lock Stock Ardal North East campaign with a trip to the KGD Stadium on Friday evening to face Hereford Pegasus of the Zzoomm Herefordshire League Premier Division.
The match provided the Goats management with the opportunity to look at a number of trialists ahead of their opening competitive match in two weeks as a number of regular players were absent for this friendly encounter.
The opening 45 minutes was relatively even with neither goalkeeper being particularly tested.
Pegasus were able to rotate their team, with more players in the bench that their visitors, and ultimately won the match with two goals within the space of five minutes either side of the hour mark.
A new-look Hay St Mary's began their preparations for the upcoming MMP Central Wales League (South) campaign by welcoming Marshfield to Forest Road on Saturday afternoon
The Saints were promoted to Floodlighting and Electrical Ardal South East just over 12 months ago.
However, the border club experienced somewhat of a baptism of fire in tier three, which saw manager Gareth Jenkins stand down from the helm in November and the team winning just one league match all term.
The Forest Road outfit commenced pre-season with a much-changed squad that did not feature any of the players from the conclusion of last term.
Following a relatively even start, it was the visitors who opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before adding three further goals in the space of six minutes to hand themselves a commanding 4-0 interval advantage.
The Saints managed to pull a goal back 11 minutes after the break through Rudi Davies.
However, the visitors bounced back from this set-back to add three further goals during the second-half to complete a successful afternoon.
