BARTESTREE & Lugwardine clinched promotion from the Marches League Division 3 following an overwhelming victory at Kington.
Knowing that a win would secure a runner-up promotion spot Bartestree batted and Mark Eckley (49) and Mark Chapman (30 put on an excellent opening stand of 71 in no time at all (11 overs) with aggressive but sensible shots.
David Bradbury (42) then joined Eckley and they picked up the pace again before the former was caught for a brisk 42 getting Bartestree to 142-2 off 23 overs.
Up stepped Alfie McAnespie then hit 56 getting his side to 237-4 as they posted a target of 281-4 off their 40 overs.
Bartestree bowlers Andy Kalwaites (5-10) and Tommy Spence (4-19) were in devastating form with the ball skittling Kington out for 46 off 17.3 overs to secure promotion in style.
Goodrich seconds clinched top spot in Division 3 after winning 13 of their 16 games.
The Marches Division 2 title race went down to the wire as Hay-on-Wye just pipped Almeley to the title.
Finally, Builth Wells clinched the Marches Division 1 ahead of Goodrich firsts.
