HEREFORD have missed out on two strikers who they had hoped would bolster their squad, amid a host of injuries.

With striker Jason Cowley set to be out for eight weeks injured having not played a competitive game this season the Bulls are searching for replacements.

However, their 3-2 FA Cup defeat at the hands of Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday has seen a potential revenue stream scuppered for another season.

“The cup revenue is important to us, it really is,” said Hereford boss Paul Caddis.

“We do have finances available, Montel Gibson moved on which has freed up a bit of wages. We tried to bring two strikers in, we lost one to a full-time team in another division and another one to step three who offered a better financial package.

“Adam Skinner is looking to be out longer term. Alex Babos has still not got full mobility in his elbow.

“We’re going to have to go through as many avenues as we can to get bodies in. It’s a difficult market, but we have to find a way of finding some talent and quick.”
