HEREFORD marksman Ahkeem Rose feels that the Bulls have ‘more to give’ after an emphatic 3-0 win against Farsley Celtic.
The 25-year-old striker scored the opening goal before providing a perfect pass for Andy Williams to net the third in the home victory.
It was Hereford’s second home league win of the season, with their first coming on the opening day of the season.
“It’s been a while,” said Rose. “I feel like the fans deserved that one.
“It was in the back of everyone’s minds that we need to do better at home, just relax a bit. We don’t need to keep lumping it. Today we did that, we were calm and passing the ball.
“We controlled the ball well and when we got the goals it gave us that extra boost. It’s one more game ticked off and we go again at Chester on Saturday.
“It was a good day as the office today, that has been coming. The boys have been brilliant, on Tuesday night (defeat at Warrington) I was disappointed not to get a goal, but today we took control from the start pressing high.
“I still feel that we’ve got a lot more to give. That was gear four today so we can still step up a little more.
“That’s just me being critical of the boys, they would say the same as well. I’m happy with the three points.
“On Tuesday night (at Warrington) we played brilliantly with 10 men and anybody at the game would say the same, we were just lacking that goal scoring.
“Today (against Farsley) it finally clicked, I felt like we could have had a few more today. Including myself, I could have had another one.
“We’re all happy with the three points and the clean sheet as well.”
Former Weymouth and Dover Athletic forward Rose was released by Ayr United in the summer and brought to Edgar Street by Caddis.
The versatile forward started as a lone striker against Farsley but has also featured in other formations during his time with Hereford.
“I’m happy wherever the gaffer plays me, as long as I’m on the pitch I’m happy,” added Rose.
“If the gaffer told me to play left-back I would for him. He’s done everything for me, brought me to the club and treated me really well.
“I try and repay him when I go out there and give everything for the badge. Funnily enough I’m getting more assists than goals but as long as I’m helping the team and the team is winning then that’s all that matters.”
Hereford head to Chester on Saturday in fourth position in the National League North and just two points behind leaders Chorley.
The Bulls then have four consecutive home games, including an FA Trophy tie against Brentwood Town on November 16.
“Climbing that table is important, today has gone, we’ve got Chester next week and we’ve got to look forward to that,” added Rose.
