WESTFIELDS have hit the goal trail by scoring 14 goals in two matches, in the same week.
Fields ended Roman Glass St George unbeaten home record on Saturday when they came out victors in a 6-3 thriller.
The visitors got off to a great start when Zac Powell put them ahead with only three minutes on the clock.
However, the physical home side hit back with two goals of their own to take a 2-1 interval lead.
After the break Cawley Cox levelled for Westfields and then Dan Stoneman added a third goal to level an earlier Roman Glass second half goal.
In a ding dong battle Powell regained Fields a 4-3 lead before man of the match Cox scored again as the home side struggled to cope with Westfields free scoring attack.
Then deep in injury time Archie Muirhead helped himself to a sixth Westfields goal that left Roman Glass St George in shock, having been cracked open five times in a blistering second half performance by swift moving attack.
Days earlier Westfields stormed into the next round of the HFA County Senior Challenge Cup with an emphatic 8-1 away win at Worcester United.
The visitors gave a superb first half performance with a seven-goal haul, including a hat-trick from Ben Brookes, two from leading goal scorer Cox and one each from Stoneman and Isaac Richards.
After the break Powell scored a fine individual goal to make it eight as Westfields eased through to the next round.
Hereford Pegasus were also in Hellenic League action at the weekend and suffered a 2-1 defeat at Fairford Town, Harrison Iddles scoring Peggy’s only goal.
Knighton Town maintained their perfect start to the MMP with Norman Lloyd Central Wales League (South) campaign following a 4-1 victory over Machynlleth under the Bryn-y-Castell floodlights.
The Radnor Robins broke the deadlock in a tight opening 45 minutes courtesy of Taylor Wozencraft’s 26th minute shot from the edge of the penalty area that took a deflection and beat Mach goalkeeper Ewan Burnham at his near post.
After a tight first half Knighton made an explosive star to the second half by scoring two goals in as many minutes that effectively sealed all three points.
Knighton Town defender Adam Worton powerfully headed home from a 46th minute corner before Declan Beddoes converted a low cross from the left within 60 seconds of the restart to extend the advantage and provide a comfortable buffer over Machynlleth.
The hosts completed their win when Wozencraft netted his second goal of the evening direct from a 62nd minute corner.
Machynlleth reduced the deficit in the 69th minute after goalkeeper Nicky Cadwallader spilled Liam Sully low cross into the goal mouth and Calum Humphreys was on hand to force the loose ball into the net from close-range.
The Radnor Robins built on this result by defeating defending champions Penparcau 5-2 on Saturday at Bryn-y-Castell courtesy of goals from Connor Bird (two), Wozencraft, Stead and Luke Boundford.
