HEREFORD boss Paul Caddis has extra time this week to ‘pick everyone up’ and prepare his patched up side.

Following Hereford’s FA Trophy defeat on Saturday the Bulls were due to play Scarbrough Athletic at Edgar Street on Tuesday night.

However, snowy conditions on Tuesday morning resulted in a lunchtime pitch inspection and the game postponed.

A statement on the club’s website said: “Tonight’s match against Scarborough Athletic has been postponed due to snow coverage at Edgar Street.”

Hereford are due to play at Darlington on Saturday, before returning to Edgar Street to face Rushall Olympic the following week (November 30).

Caddis watched from the stands after serving a one-match suspension for his side’s defeat on Saturday against non-league step four side Brentwood Town.

In a statement after the game, he told the club’s website: “The performance and most importantly the result wasn’t acceptable.

“The result yesterday was all on me. I let the players down as I wasn’t able to stand on the touchline and fight with them.

“I am still learning and my discipline simply has to improve. I take accountability on all fronts of my life and won’t shy away on this occasion.

“I played over 400 games as a player and was never once sent off or suspended in my career, but in my short time as a young manager I’ve had too many suspensions and I have let the players down.

“I can’t dwell on what’s happened and it’s important for me to now pick everyone up and get back to focusing on our league campaign where the players have put us in a brilliant position.

“They have put us in the top half (sixth) of a really tough league and I am extremely proud of where we are – ahead of the record points tally of last season – and our aim is to continue to progress to be the very best we can with what we have.

“Rest assured we will have more bad moments as well as more good and indifferent moments. That’s football and it’s important we try and find a consistency in our performances and most importantly our results.

“Two of our last three home league fixtures have seen us win 3-0 and 4-0 respectively and we have to fight to find those results consistently.”
