HEREFORD have added a new face to their squad on a month-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old central midfielder has been loaned from Swindon Town for the next month.

Mitchell, from Birmingham, started his career as a youngster with Aston Villa’s youth academy before being signed by Swindon last summer.

Mitchell has made five first-team appearances since then.

The Hereford club website said: “Dylan now looks to continue his development with the Bulls and gain more valuable experience in men’s first-team football.

Meanwhile, Hereford boss Paul Caddis added: “Dylan is a player who excelled at step three last season and was deservedly rewarded with a move to the EFL with Swindon Town.

“Dylan is an energetic central midfielder who has the discipline in and out of possession and will provide a good option for us in the central areas.

“I’d like to thank Swindon Town for all their help in getting the deal over the line. I’m really looking forward to seeing Dylan in and around our environment for the foreseeable future.”

Meanwhile, the Bulls saw their second match of the week postponed due to the weather conditions.

Hereford’s home tie last Tuesday night against Scarborough Athletic was called off due to a frozen pitch.

The Bulls were due to travel to Darlington on Saturday, but a pitch inspection held at Friday lunchtime due to parts of the hosts’ pitch being ‘hard and covered in frost’

The club’s website then stated: “Tomorrow’s trip to Darlington has been postponed due to the current conditions and forecast scheduled ahead of tomorrow’s game.

“A new date and ticket information for the re-scheduled fixture will be available in due course.”

Hereford will now travel to Needham Marked on Saturday, December 7, after both sides were left with a free weekend following their respective FA Trophy exits.
