IN A REMARKABLE turn of events, Hereford's Under-14 Boys’ hockey team has made history by becoming the first side in over a decade to play 11-a-side hockey for the club, in their age category.

The team faced off against Gloucester City Boys on earlier this month and emerged victorious with an impressive 5-0 win.

A spokesman for the team said: “This milestone achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff.

“The match, held at Hereford's home ground, saw the team dominate from start to finish, showcasing their skills and teamwork.

“The victory not only marks a significant moment for the club but also sets a promising precedent for the future of youth hockey in Hereford.

“The team's performance has garnered praise from local supporters and has reignited enthusiasm for the sport within the community.

“Congratulations to the Hereford Under 14 boys hockey team on their historic win! The future looks bright for these young athletes as they continue to make strides in the world of hockey.”
