A HEREFORD-BASED karate club are celebrating a successful season which has seen them travel across the country in search of honours.
Samurai Central Dojo karate squad based in Hereford, ranging from ages eight to 18 years, have travelled the length and breath of the country, collecting a selection of medals along the way.
The highlight of year saw 11 children ranging from ages 10 – 18 years and their sensei’s were selected to represent their country at the European WUKF karate championships held in Poland, returning again with an array of medals.
The season ended on a huge high with the club finishing third club overall in the Welsh League bringing home a huge 21 trophies in total and over 100 medals throughout the year.
Leading the young squad to some brilliant achievements has been Sensei Gemma.

GOLF
Ross Ladies GC
Twenty-one ladies played in a 16-hole Bowmaker Competition recently. In first place was Ros Ashton, Allison Charles and Dinah Johnston with 65 points. Ruth Kirchmeier, Nadia Stirling and Gaye Barcham came second with 60 points, closely followed by Jenny Reeve-Tucker, Mary Smith and June Savidge with 58 points.
