SAPEY’S Carol Moore fired 34 points to win Division 1 of Sapey’s senior ladies’ open competition.
J Penrhyn, from Worcestershire, was second with 30 points, while clubmate B Jones was third on a countback.
Alyson Cox, from Worcestershire, took first place in Division 2 with 30 points.
Sapey’s Nicola Tanfield was second with 28 points and Redditch’s R Roden was third with 27 points.
Sapey’s Pam Ellis and Lyn Bayley were among five players who achieved birdies.
Other birdies were secured by Jen Bishop (Worcestershire) 2, Sylvia Williams (Ravensmead-ow) and A Wassell (Enville).
q Margaret Williams scored 35 points to win an 18-hole stableford competition at The Grove.
Mary Davies secured second place with 29 points.
Elizabeth Williams was the overall winner of Burghill Valley’s April Stableford and Shield after a return of 39 points.
Joan Dukes was second with 34 points, while third-place was taken by Annette Mansie (32 points).
Amanda Preece won Division 2 with 38 points from second-placed Glenda Sandford (34 points) and third-placed Elizabeth Wood (32 points).
Jacky Price was triumphant in Division 3 on a countback from Ann Midwinter after both players carded 32 points.
Jane Collins secured third spot with 30 points.
Jenny Thornton overcame the awful weather conditions to win Ross-on-Wye’s annual KitKat stableford competition on a countback from Kerry Welding.
Both players finished with 38 points. Sheila Hatherall took third place with 36 points.
