THE snooker team from The Farmers Inn have finished runners-up for the third year running in the Ludlow and District Snooker League. The team have to play all their games away from home. Their home games are played at The Royal British Legion Club in Ludlow as there is no table in Presteigne. The team used to play from The Barley Mow in Presteigne but when the pub closed around 10 years ago they had nowhere to play from. The team, however, stayed together and decided to keep playing in the league so now play their home games away from home. This season, they finished runners up in the league and they won the league knock-out. Team member Michael Hobson was also the runner-up in the league singles championship.
