GILLIAN Sandell won the Leominster GC Captain’s Day Stableford from second-placed Jessica Filbrandt.
Di Gibson secured the best gross, while Liz Moore won the Lettie Kurham Trophy and Carol Gardner, the Captain’s Day kettle.
Jane Powles and Caroline Charles had the highest scores on the front nine and back nine, respectively, and Gibson was nearest the pin.
Sandell hit the longest drive of the day, Lesley Turbutt won a putting competition and Paddy Davis was awarded the Bunny Trophy.
Leominster’s lady captain Bett Croxton was among a team which took first place in the club’s Ladies Am-Am event.
Croxton was joined by Lisa Digings (Belmont), Jan Bowen and Lorna Sneddon (Summerhill) in taking top spot with 88 points.
A Leominster team of Wendy Lane, Caroline Charles, Kath Carter and Powles were the runners-up with 86 points.
Bet Hinchliffe, Pat Owen, Geraldine Kelly (all Leominster) and Sandy Foster (Belmont) were third on a countback from a Ross team of Joan Malim, Helen Palmer, Janice Buswell and Erica Atkins. Both teams had finished with 82 points.
Atkins won the award for the longest drive, while Croxton was nearest the pin and Digings triumphed in the charity putting competition.
Carol Gardner (89-17-72) clinched the President’s Prize from Charles (98-22-76).
Leominster Ladies recorded an emphatic 4-0 home win over Monmouth GC.
