AFTER losing their first four games in the Premier Division of the Hereford Times Herefordshire League, Leominster Town moved into mid-table after beating Pegasus Reserves 5-3 at Bridge Street Sports Centre, their second successive win.
The match was hard fought, and was ample testimony to the steady progress the Town side are making.
They were never behind, with the sides locked 2-2 at the break.
Leominster had already missed out on a couple of openings when Emmanuel Orfeo chipped the Reserves keeper to put them ahead. The city side were soon back on level terms, but not for long as Paul Jones shot across the keeper to regain the lead.
In a see-saw game, Pegasus levelled before the break only for Terry Williams to restore Leominster’s advantage 10 minutes into the second half. The home side eventually put daylight between the sides when Sam Bowen hammered the ball home. Bowen added a second goal, but not before the city side had pulled a goal back.
