JOCKEY David Mansell continued his quest for a jockeys’ Championship at Sunday’s Ledbury Hunt point to point meeting at Maisemore Park when he scored a double to take him on to the 23-winner mark for the season.

Following his single win at Brampton Bryan the previous day, Mansell scored for trainer Julie Houldey with both mounts and he struck early in the opening Members’ race aboard Maranch, who upset the odds-on favourite Saint Reverien to score by a diminishing length.

He then followed that up with an emphatic 15-length win aboard Just Talking in the Intermediate race.
