A SUCCESSFUL quiz night was held at Brecon Rugby Club in order to raise funds for the coming Mid-wales & Border Counties Harness racing season and to make a presentation to retiring commentator Colin Davies.
An enjoyable time was had by all, some of whom travelled from Haverfordwestand Llandeilo, and the surprise presentation left Colin, for once, stuck for words.
Wales & Border Chairman Trisha Dugdale made the presentation, a crystal bell, on behalf of everyone in racing, as a thank-you for 25 years on the ‘mic’.
This rounded off a social evening with quiz questions based on W&BC racing set by Val and Donna Jones. The quiz master for the evening was Tim East.
Excitement is rising as the season is due to start in a couple of weeks. There are plenty of horses in training, all with sights set for the historic Llangadog meeting, (at Tairgwaith) which is celebrating 125 years on Easter Monday.
