Hyett, who lost just three games throughout the day, chalked up his third straight triumph after a 2-0 win over Matt Thomas in a hard-fought final.

The reigning-champion defeated Sean McNally 2-0 in his semi-final, while Thomas beat Alex Wilson 2-1 (10-9 in the third set) in the other semi-final.
League organiser John Lowe paid tribute to all those who took part in the top-10 knockout tournament.
He added that league competitions are played throughout the year at Hereford Leisure Centre.
