RC Warwick 0 Westfields 1.
WESTFIELDS completed an Aspire Midland Alliance double when they travelled to Warwick last Thursday and came away with a 1-0 success.
Earlier in the season, Westfields hammered Warwick 6-0 at allpay.park.
The city club’s all-important goal came five minutes into the second period.
Mark Davis’ fine pass was dummied by Jamie Upcott into the path of Paul Allam who raced through to slam home the winner from the edge of the penalty area.
In the first period, Westfields were grateful to goalkeeper Gareth Williams who pulled off a couple of good saves to keep the scoresheet blank.
At the other end, Westfields were regularly caught in the Warwick offside trap.
Westfields, who had endured a rough patch in the middle of the season, have now won four and drawn the other two of their last six away matches in a welcome good run.
