ROSS-on-Wye have clinched promotion from High Bridge Jewellers Gloucester 1 - without kicking a ball.
The south Herefordshire side were guaranteed second spot following Tewkesbury’s win over Cheltenham Civil Service last Saturday.
The top-two teams are automatically promoted from Gloucester 1 and Ross will be competing in the Premier Division next season.
Ross complete their league programme at home to champions Tewkesbury - and will be aiming for a double - on Saturday.
Ross will be joined in the semi-finals of the North Midlands Vase by Hereford-club Greyhound.
Ross, the holders, will travel to Yardley & District, while Greyhound make the trip to Evesham.
Greyhound booked their semi-final spot with a 33-14 win over Dudley Wasps in a midweek match Luctonians.
Mark Austin, Dave Woods and Elliot Phillips scored tries for Greyhound, while Tom Bates kicked 18 points.
Hereford 2nd produced a sparkling display to record a 56-17 win over Luctonians 2nd in the semi-finals of the Luctonians Floodlit Cup at Mortimer Park.
Morgan Goodall had an impressive evening for Hereford with a try and he converted all of Hereford’s eight tries.
Simon Sabel (2), Sean Day (2), Kieram Hallam, Ben Adams and Trevor Bufton also crossed for Hereford who bagged five converted scores in the last 20 minutes.
