PETER Allman and Andrew Simpson won the Winter League Pairs at the Herefordshire GC.
They beat Paul Fisher and Barry Stevenson on the first extra hole of the final.
Karl Alexander clinched the Winter Bowl, a singles competition, after a one-up victory over Paul Fisher in the final.
John Lewthwaite took the Harland Bowl - the first major competition of the new season for low handicappers.
Lee Thompson was second and Pete Evans, third, after all three golfers returned a +5 in the bogey competition.
Ken Baker triumphed with a +6 return in the Pleasance & Harper Cup for high handicappers.
Barry Waller (+4) was the runner-up and third-place went to Rob Morgan (+2).
Ian McIntosh carded 41 points to take the top spot from second-placed Bren Standell (40 points) in the low handicap category of the seniors’ stableford.
Roy Withers won the high handicap section on a countback from Graham Rees after both players returned 39 points.
Herefordshire Seniors suffered a 7½ matches to ½ defeat at Woodlake Park but bounced back to beat visiting Worcester Golf & Country Club by six matches to two.

Mills triumphed with 36 points from second-placed Monty Lowe (32 points) and third-placed Stan Arnold (30 points).
Dave Price (17 points) won the front nine and Stuart Hinton (17 points), the back nine. Malcolm Lewis took the honour for the longest drive.

q Tony Bowkett fired 40 points to win Cradoc GC’s final Winter Stableford on a countback from Robert Evans and Dai Lewis.
Steve Kenchington and Gareth Powell headed the gross Winter Eclectic after a return of 58.
q Mike Richards ran up an impressive 44-point tally to win Division 1 of Kington GC’s Seniors’ Winter League.
John A Williams was second, with 43 points, and third place went to Paul England (40 points).
Pip Ryde topped Division 2 with 37 points, while Phil Gould (34 points) was second and Richard Thwaites (33 points), third.
The seniors’ team secured an emphatic 7½ games to ½ home victory over Brecon GC.
Kevin Barnes was the overall winner of the Harry Hudson Cup after firing 77-14-63.
Barnes will represent Kington later this year in the Lombard Trophy where he will play alongside club professional Andy Gealy.
Matt Weaver (70-4-66) topped Division 1 and Alan Williams (71-3-68) finished second.
Kevin Corfield shot 77-12-65 to clinch first place in Division 2, while Rob Meredith (81-15-66) was the runner-up.
Division 3 winner Phil Gould just missed out on an overall victory but was well rewarded for his 83-20-63.
Tracy Sandford was second with 81-16-65.
Ron Davies Jones, Andy Edey and George Farr shot 49 points to take first place in the Seniors’ 3-man Texas Scramble.
Peter Kelly, Joe James and Dave Lacey were second with 48 points and third place went to Chris Scott, Bill Didcock and Dennis Whyke (48 points).
Nigel Jones was the overall winner of the April Medal after returning 87-19-68. Rob Pritchard (80-8-72) won Division 1 and Alan Williams (76-3-73) finished second.
George Frost (84-11-73) topped Division 2 from second-placed Geoff Brown (91-15-76).
Peter Gardner took the honours in Division 3 with 100-28-72, while Alex Metcalfe (98-26-72) was second.
The seniors halved their home match against Cleobury Mortimer with both sides chalking up four wins.
