THE City of Hereford Swimming Club took a strong team to the City of Birmingham Open at Stechford.
In a swansong to their departing coach, Matt Puddy, there were some very impressive performances with more regional qualifying times and some swimmers making finals against very strong opposition.
There were many personal best times achieved.
Isabella Fox, Jessica Rogers and Emily Davies made senior finals with Isabella gaining a bronze medal in the 100m IM.
Hannah Casewell gained a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle.
Grace Alexander and Tom Harris both made several appearances in junior finals.
New regional qualifying times were achieved by Grace Alexander, Charlotte Combe, George Field, Tom Harris and Mary Yoxall.
Swimmers competing were: Grace Alexander, Thea Beresford, Hannah Casewell, Charlotte Combe, Crystal Cope, Emily Davies, Jordan Evans, George Field, Isabella Fox, Laurence Gummerson, Harvey Harris, Tom Harris, Emily Jenkins, Madeleine Hayden-Woodward, Lucia Hinksman, Roger Holland, Jessica Rogers, Connor Smith, Courtney Smith, Carla Thornywell, Chloe Waldron, Lydia Waldron and Katrina Walton.
The parents also won a trophy for being the most enthusiastic supporters.
