STAN Cantrill has added the Hungarian Masters judo title to his ever-growing collection of accolades in the sport.

The Hereford-based judo player has now earned enough points to become 5th Dan, the highest grade you can gain fighting.

Cantrill managed to throw Mitsunori Sato of Japan for Ippon in the final, which is the equivalent of a knock out in boxing.

Cantrill is the current Commonwealth champion and has also recently returned from his Welsh Masters training in Brecon where he was congratulated by Jane Bridge, the sport’s first British world champion.
