HEREFORDSHIRE suffered their second heavy defeat in three games when they went down by 149 runs to Cornwall in their MCCA Trophy clash at Truro.
Hopes of building on their unexpected win over Devon the previous week were dashed when Cornwall piled up 311-6 from their 50 overs with former Somerset all-rounder Keith Parsons leading the way with 106.
Opening bowlers Luke Sellers (2-60) and Freddie Eburah (2-69) were Herefordshire’s most successful bowlers.
The visitors struggled in reply with only Henry Langford (41) making a score of ay substance although Richard Hall (25), Daniel Bassett (24) and Huw Jones (22) all got starts.
Herefordshire now have just one match left of their qualifying programme, when Berkshire are the visitors to Eastnor on May 31.
